Road Trip Part I - Joshua Tree

Thank goodness for vacation! I feel so blessed to be able to take time off to be able to relax and spend time getting into my husbands world of photography. Its so hard because I've been "learning" for a few years now but sometimes I get so busy with work and life that months will go by before I even get to pick up a camera... then when I do I have to re-learn a lot of things to get back up to speed. That is why I love taking trips like this to be able to focus on just relaxing and taking pictures. I took 2 weeks off of work... the first couple days we just had some time at home and now we are in Palm Desert with my family for a few days. Then we will be going to Arizona and staying with my aunt and her family. From there we are going to Sedona for one day (on our 4 year anniversary - yey!) and then meeting my brother & sister-in-law & some friends in Las Vegas for a couple days. So I just have to say that before I got married to Lorenzo I didn't understand the word "relax." The nice thing is that Lorenzo is so laid back that being around him pretty much forces me to relax. . . so a trip like this is great to just be able to drive, listen to music, shoot pictures and relax.... before the craziness of tax season starts when I get back home. So in the next week (as long as I keep up with the posting) I will be blogging our road trip adventures....

The first day we were in Palm Desert we went to Joshua Tree. . . We've been there once before and have been wanting to return so this time we went back only this time we got to drive all the way through the park. The sunset was BEAUTIFUL and another reminder of how incredible our creator is. Here are some pictures. . .
